Ancient Sun began on a visit to a family-run date farm in Palm Springs, California, where Kian had his first date shake. He decided to dive into the history of traditional drinks sweetened by dates.

That idea led to months of study and experimentation. Kian spent six months researching traditional nut-based drinks from across cultures, developing and refining more than fifty nut milk and spice combinations before arriving at the three flavors we make today. Each recipe reflects careful balance and respect for the traditions that informed it.

We are a small team united by a shared interest in food, design, and discovery. For us, Ancient Sun is more than a product, it's a way to carry food tradition forward, to honor where food comes from, and to build a brand grounded in intention, simplicity, and taste.
